General

What is paramedical cosmetology?
Paramedical cosmetology combines advanced aesthetic technologies (microneedling, fractional RF, IPL, professional peels) with deep understanding of skin biology. The aim: a focused approach that addresses the whole picture of the skin, not just the surface appearance. In Israel, this requires certified paramedical training recognised by the Ministry of Health, minimum 1,200 hours of study.
What is The Naftaly Method™?
The Naftaly Method™ is a proprietary protocol I developed over 12 years. Built on three layers: deep Diagnosis, personalised Build (protocol), and Maintain (home routine). Clinical mark: D·B·M. Every patient builds her personal version with me. More on /method.
Where is the studio located?
The clinic is at HaGdud HaIvri 5, Ashdod, near Gan Ha'Ir, in a private and quiet setting. I see one patient at a time, no shared waiting rooms. The Ashdod page has a precise map and navigation links.
Which languages are spoken at the studio?
Hebrew, English, and Russian, at native level in all three. I believe a patient must fully understand every clinical decision, and that requires the language she dreams in.
How long has the studio been operating?
I've been in healthcare since 2014 and received my paramedical certification in 2018. The private studio in Ashdod opened in 2024. To date I've completed over 2,000 personalised protocols.

First consultation

How long is the first consultation and what does it include?
The first consultation is 45 minutes. Includes: review of medical, hormonal, nutritional and sleep history; skin condition mapping (including Wood's Lamp for deep pigmentation); written skin assessment; and a protocol proposal with timeline and estimated budget. No treatment is given on the first day.
Is there a fee for the first consultation?
Yes, there's a symbolic fee for the first consultation that covers the 45 minutes, the written assessment, and the take-home recommendation kit. If you choose to proceed to a full protocol within 14 days, the consultation fee is credited toward it.
What should I bring to the consultation?
Arrive without makeup (or minimal makeup that can be removed). If you take medications, contraceptives, or supplements, bring a list. If you have photos of your skin before a major change (post-pregnancy, post-stress period), they help. Comfortable clothing recommended.
Is an online consultation possible?
For building a full protocol: no. Professional diagnosis requires touch, lighting, and Wood's Lamp. But for a 15-minute initial chat, or a mid-protocol check-in: yes, we do that on WhatsApp Video. Available to active patients only.

Protocols & treatments

How many visits does an average protocol require?
Depends on the protocol. Anti-aging: 4-6 visits at 3-week intervals. Pigmentation: 5-8 visits every 4 weeks. Acne: 6-10 visits every 2 weeks. Glow: single visit or series of 3. Bridal: 4-6 visits over 4 months. After the first protocol, most patients return every 3-4 months for maintenance.
How quickly are results visible?
Glow protocol: visible result in 24 hours, lasting 7-14 days. Other protocols: first result 4-6 weeks, significant result 3 months, full stabilisation 6 months. Melasma requires more patience (4-6 months for significant result). My protocols hold long-term, they don't disappear after 2 weeks.
Are the treatments painful?
I don't promise 'pain-free' because that's not true. Microneedling and fractional RF require local anaesthetic 30 minutes before. Sensation like 'warm sand' or gentle pricks during. Chemical peels: mild burning 1-2 minutes. LED and IPL are mostly fully comfortable. After treatment, the area can be red for 6-24 hours, depending on intensity.
What's the difference between microneedling and fractional RF?
Microneedling creates controlled micro-injuries at 0.5-2.5mm depth using tiny needles, stimulating collagen. Fractional RF adds radio-frequency heat that penetrates deeper and warms the tissue. In short: microneedling for texture and scars. RF for skin tension and deeper lines. I often combine both in anti-aging protocols. More in the 'Microneedling vs Fractional RF' blog article.
Is it safe to do a protocol in summer?
Depends on the protocol. Aggressive chemical peels and IPL: better done in winter, as 4 weeks of no direct sun exposure are required. Microneedling and fractional RF: possible in summer with SPF 50+ discipline. Glow protocol and barrier repair: always possible. I check your calendar before choosing a protocol.
Can one protocol address multiple concerns?
Yes, often it's actually preferred. If you have both pigmentation and loss of skin tension, I build a protocol that addresses both in the right sequence, not simultaneously. Order matters more than quantity. In the first consultation I determine the sequence.
04

Contraindications

Can I have treatments during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
During active pregnancy: no. Most technologies (microneedling, RF, IPL, strong acids) are forbidden, and some home actives (retinol, professional-grade salicylic) are also forbidden. During breastfeeding: partially. Glow protocol and gentle barrier repair are possible, but no aggressive peels. I always consult with your gynaecologist.
Is there a treatment suited to pregnancy?
Yes. A gentle facial, no strong acids and no devices, in coordination with your supervising doctor.
If I'm on Accutane (isotretinoin), can I have treatment?
No, and not during the 6 months after stopping the medication. Accutane changes the skin deeply and the skin becomes highly sensitive. Any aggressive treatment in this period can cause scarring. After 6 months of waiting, we'll meet for a re-assessment.
What about tattoos in the treatment area?
IPL and lasers are forbidden directly over tattoos, as the radiation can damage the tattoo pigment and cause burning or colour change. Microneedling over tattoos: avoided. If the tattoo is on forehead, neck or chest, we'll adapt the treatment areas accordingly.
What if I have active herpes?
If there's an active outbreak, we postpone the treatment until it fully heals. For patients with recurring herpes tendency, I recommend prophylactic antiviral medication 24 hours before treatments like microneedling. We'll discuss this in the first consultation.
What about photosensitizing medications?
If you take medications that make skin photosensitive (some antibiotics, certain heart medications, some diuretics), IPL and aggressive peels are forbidden. In the first consultation I ask about all your medications and if needed consult with your physician.

Pricing & payment

How much does a protocol cost?
A full protocol consists of 4 to 10 visits, priced as a package (not per visit). The range is between ₪3,800 and ₪9,500 depending on the protocol and the number of sessions. The range includes all materials, technologies, and the home kit. A detailed price list is sent after the first consultation with a customised plan.
Is payment in instalments available?
Yes. The protocol cost can be split into equal instalments across the treatment period. Usually 3-6 instalments. I request the first payment at the initial consultation to reserve the protocol.
Does the price include the home product kit?
Yes, the protocol package includes all core products for the home routine: serums, gentle acids, SPF, and sometimes a hydration kit. Additional products I recommend but aren't essential are sold separately.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation up to 48 hours before: no charge, rescheduled to another date. Cancellation 24-48 hours before: 50% charge. Cancellation less than 24 hours before or no-show: full charge. I understand there are exceptional cases (illness, family event) and accommodate them.
06

After treatment

How long does redness last after treatment?
Microneedling: redness 6-24 hours. Fractional RF: 4-8 hours. Mild chemical peel: 2-4 hours. TCA peel: up to 48 hours. IPL: sometimes red dots 24-48 hours in the spot areas. I always provide a post-treatment kit and check in via WhatsApp in the first days.
When can I return to wearing makeup after treatment?
Microneedling and fractional RF: no makeup for 24-48 hours. Chemical peels: 12-24 hours. IPL: 12 hours. I give specific recommendations after each treatment. Sunscreen: SPF 50 every day, even without makeup.
Can I shower normally?
Yes, but not very hot water for 24-48 hours after treatment. Hot water dilates blood vessels and amplifies redness. Also avoid sauna, chlorinated pool, and sea for 7 days after aggressive treatments. You'll receive precise instructions via my WhatsApp for each treatment.
Can I work out after treatment?
Light exercise (yoga, walking): same day is fine. Intense exercise or heavy sweating: wait 24-48 hours. Heavy sweat causes inflammation in fresh skin. Hot yoga or CrossFit: wait 48 hours.
What if I have an unexpected reaction?
First: message me on WhatsApp with a photo. I'm available to active patients 7 days a week. In most cases it's a natural process I'll explain. In rare cases of a strong reaction, I'll refer you immediately to a dermatologist for urgent check. The studio is fully insured.

Home care

Do I need to change all my skincare products?
Depends. In the first consultation you bring all the products you use. I review what to keep, what to add, and what to replace. Usually I keep 50-70% of what you have, add 2-4 new ones, and ask you to remove 1-2. Not brand loyalty. Fit for your skin.
How long does the morning and evening routine take?
Morning: 5-7 minutes (gentle cleanse, serum, moisturiser, SPF). Evening: 8-12 minutes (double cleanse, active, serum, moisturiser). The routine is intentionally built to be realistic. If it takes half an hour, you won't sustain it. I build something you can actually do.
When and how to use retinol?
Retinol isn't for everyone and not every night. I start at 0.025% once a week for a month, then twice a week for a month, then increase accordingly. Always at night, after cleansing, on fully dry skin. Forbidden during pregnancy. With retinol: don't combine strong acids the same night. More in the 'Skin Cycling' blog article.
What's the best SPF?
The best SPF is the one you'll actually apply every morning. SPF 50 mineral (zinc oxide / titanium dioxide) is my standard. If mineral leaves a white cast, try bio-mineral or a high-quality chemical SPF 50. Sun protection is 70% of an anti-aging protocol. Without it, the rest is wasted.
What should I do if I missed several days of routine?
Restart gently. If you missed 2-3 days, return to your regular routine. If you missed a week or more with strong actives (retinol, acids), return gradually (2x a week instead of daily) for a week, then to the regular routine. The skin doesn't 'forget'. It just needs to readjust.
08

Logistics & privacy

Can I bring someone with me?
For the first consultation: yes, if it helps you feel comfortable. For the treatment itself: I prefer not. My focus is full and so is the patient's. There's a small private waiting room for a partner.
What about before/after photos?
I take before-treatment photos at the first visit, and every 4-6 weeks during the protocol. The photos are yours only, for my internal tracking of progress. If you'd like to use your photo as testimonial on the site or Instagram, I ask for separate written consent. Default: no.
Is my information stored securely?
Yes. I store medical information and photos in a secure, backed-up system accessible only to me. I don't share information with third parties without your consent. Compliant with Israeli Privacy Protection Law 1981 and GDPR. Full details on the Privacy Policy page.
Is parking available?
Yes. You can park at the Gan Ha'Ir lot and in street parking nearby. There's usually a spot, and the Ashdod page has a precise map and navigation links.
